There are 10 medallions representing religion & philosophy; law; earth; science; physical science; medicine; mathematics & engineering; fine arts; poetry & music; drama & history. Figures of the zodiac, symbolizing universitality, appear in the panel around the word "LIBRARY." Ricci was also the sculptor of the reliefs on the facade of Angell Hall and the bas reliefs on CC Little Building, as well as the corbel figures of the Law Quad. He was associated with Angelo Zari and their shop in New York City was famous for its "Boweryesque" corbels. |
